Antonia Bartholomew – Visionary and environmentalist -the quintessential American story presented by Anna Pope

March 8, 2025 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
$5 – $10

Antonia Bartholomew’s story is the quintessential American story. She was born to struggling immigrant parents one year after they arrived in this country. Throughout her life she displayed courage, strength, tenacity, vision and generosity. Those traits allowed her to craft a life which ultimately allowed her, along with her husband, Frank Bartholomew, to create what we know today as Bartholomew Park, one of Sonoma’s most beloved treasures.

Bartholomew Park is the heart of the estate where Agoston Haraszthy launched the California premium wine industry.

Today the 375 acre estate, and Bartholomew Estate Winery, are owned by Anna Pope and Frank Pope, as Co-trustees of the Bartholomew Foundation.  They are passionately devoted to helping to fulfill Antonia’s dream of ensuring that future generations have the opportunity to enjoy this magical place, just as the Bartholomew’s did. All profits of the winery are dedicated to helping accomplish the Foundation’s mission of supporting the conservation and preservation of this historic site and to provide educational opportunities for the public.
